On January 6, the magazine Nieuw Amsterdam #5 was launched at Pakhuis de Zwijger. We enjoy having contributed to the issue with an interview and a selection of images from Afghanistan’s capital Kabul. The publication bundles a wide array initiatives in the Netherlands and Europe, each addressing fascinating city transformations, often by bottom-up efforts. The contribution of Specialist Operations highlight some of the radical changes Kabul has undergone post the 2001 invasion by western forces. The first copy was handed to Kajsa Ollongren, alderman of Culture and the vice-mayor of Amsterdam. |
