Specialist Operations proudly presents the exhibition ‘Uruzgan Now’. On March 2, the exposition was opened by the Inspector General of the Royal Netherlands Armed Forces at the National Military Museum.

For the first time, the reconstruction outcomes of the Dutch deployment in Uruzgan province Afghanistan are presented to the public. What has come of the Dutch projects? The exhibition shows dozens of projects that have been undertaken by Task Force Uruzgan between 2006-2010.

The four-month display includes large-scale photographs, maps, and detailed project assessments – all displayed at a tailor-made observation post constructed by the Dutch Regiment of Engineers. The exposition shows that the overall efforts of the Netherlands brought positive changes. It also outlines the significant challenges when it comes to achieving lasting results and offers key lessons for more sustainable future reconstruction missions.
